Rainbow Jeans

Introduction
Rainbow is a trendy store selling youthful clothing in the downtown Yorkville area since 1975. With the increasing number of retail stores targeting the teenage customers, the store owner wanted to update the store's image by re-branding the store and to increase its presence online by launching a new website.
Challenge
The owner of the store would like to have a section on the website that introduces the history of the store. The problem with the section is that the material is mostly text. Some photographs were provided by the client but they were mostly old and their colours have faded over time. These materials would have been a hard sell to teenagers if they are presented in its current condition.
The client also wants a website that can be updated in a timely manner to reflect events or special promotions that are happening in the store.
Solution
Jacqueline was brought into the project as a freelance Flash developer. She has participated in two different phases of the project. In the first phase, she is responsible for creating the history section of the website. She has transformed the plain content and images into an interactive timeline where users can interact with images by using their mouse. Some images can be triggered by a rollover event or a mouse click event to show the hidden animation.
In the second phase, she has worked on a backend content management system that allows administrators to login to a Flash website and update content on the live website. The administrator can modify the description and images on different kinds of products, update banner images, view mailing list information, etc. By creating this content management system, the administrator can update information on the site in a timely manner.
